Northern Counties Society Of Osteopaths
Connecting Osteopaths in the North
The Society is one of the oldest in the UK, originally founded in 1924.
Since November 2006 a determined team of committee members has been offering osteopaths in the North an opportunity to attend local, affordable and fun CPD throughout the year. This, together with a forum to discuss and keep up to date with the professions news making the NCSO a valuable part of our continuing professional development.
Breaking News …
The hard work of the NCSO community has been recognised by the Institute of Osteopathy at the recent convention. We have won the Community of Practice – Sponsored by the Osteopathic Foundation.
Communities of practice are examples of osteopaths coming together through common interests, whether clinical, business, research or location to make an outstanding contribution to the development and support of osteopaths by offering local support, learning opportunities and promotion of the osteopathy. This year’s finalists were:
- Cambridgeshire Osteopathic Group
- Dorset Osteopathic Group
- Kids Backs for the future
- Northern Counties Society of Osteopaths
- Osteopaths for progress in headache and migraine (OPHM)
Congratulations to all the finalists!
At the AGM it was decided that the iO trophy for Community Practice should be passed around the members. Kathryn Elliot passed it to Dorothy Griffiths as it begins its journey around the Northern Counties.
It is hoped that the passing on of the trophy will be an opportunity reach out to your neighbouring practice and strengthen the bonds within our community.
When you receive the award please take a picture and send it to Kathryn at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can track where it is.
