SCOTTISH OSTEOPATHIC SOCIETY - Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th of September 2025

The Scoliosis Correction Protocol, with Ed Paget, offers practitioners an easy-to-follow exercise and manual therapy program for managing adult scoliosis. The course focuses on the management of the 4 main types of scoliotic curves (2 x S-shape and 2 x C-shape). Through demonstration and case studies, each participant will:
Gain a better understanding of the natural history of scoliosis
Be able to identify the different scoliotic curves
Be able to manage an adult scoliosis with different strategies on how to influence the mobility, strength and endurance of the spine using 3 dimensional movements.
Be able to develop a plan of care for management of the patient with scoliosis to help slow down, stop or even reduce the progression of adult scoliosis.

Bio Basics - 11 & 12 October 2025

Love, Light and the Emergence of Form:

‘The Building Blocks of an Osteopathic Understanding of the Living Patient’

On this weekend we will take time (and find the space) to experience how health can express itself in every cell.
This two day course is an introduction to the work of Dr. James Jealous DO, for osteopaths of all levels who are interested in using a biodynamic approach to diagnosis and treatment. The 15 hour course is open to osteopathy students and registered osteopaths, and is relevant for GOsC CPD.

This is an annual post graduate course providing an opportunity for deepening our understanding of the work of A,T. Still, the founder of Osteopathy, WG Sutherland and James Jealous.

Biodynamic Osteopathy has grown internationally since the 1980’s. With the biodynamic curriculum and Biobasics courses now running in many countries including the US, France, Spain and the Netherlands.

On our course, we have a two student per tutor ratio with fully qualified, registered osteopaths who are also qualified in the biodynamic field of osteopathy, which means that they have completed seven phases of the biodynamic training.

We are a group of osteopaths with shared ideals who wish to study together to develop osteopathy with mutual support from each other.

This weekend is not one of the biodynamic phases but provides an introduction to Traditional Osteopathy emerging from the biodynamic curriculum of Dr James Jealous.

PAOLO TOZZI - 10th - 12th April 2026

Some of you will remember Paolo Tozzi lecturing us at the Midland Hotel in Manchester on “fascia in the osteopathic field”. He had some fascinating slides and video presentations and practical applications.
We have managed to encourage him to come back to Yorkshire again. The date is April 10th to the 12th 2026.
We will have to limit numbers to 20.
I am in the early stages of booking the hotel which I plan to be at the Herriots Hotel, which is in Skipton directly opposite the train station.
Our plan is to make it available 1st to NCSO MEMBERS and after that opened up to the wider osteopathic audience.
This will be a three day event so will attract a minimum of 21 CPD point.
The cost Will be ballpark £400 this will be to include Paolo’s lectures and the hotel facilities during the day and lunch tea and coffee.
please respond to this WhatsApp if you would like to attend the lecture and we can then create a separate group for it .
Many thanks, yours Stuart Cooper
